The Tus Valley comprises around thirty country estates and hamlets which are distributed at different altitudes and distances, creating a landscape with a rich variety of views.
The way of life here is eminently rural, finely balanced between strong links with the land and the modern world. It is still possible to enjoy authentic activities such as horse raising, the farming and slaughter of domestic animals, traditional wine, firewater, and liqueur production, the baking of bread in communal and individual wood-burning ovens, and the gathering of medicinal plants to be used in the preparation of natural remedies.
Also worthy of mention are the local fiestas (on 28 August), the traditional handicrafts such as straw craft, resin craft, and wood chopping, and the legends of the sierra.
